2025 Visit Reardan Merit Scholarship

**Overview**

 

The Visit Reardan Merit Scholarship is designed to recognize and reward outstanding students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement throughout their high school careers.

 

Eligible candidates must be graduating seniors from Reardan High School, with a strong academic record and a commitment to contributing positively to their community. The scholarship aims to support students in their pursuit of higher education by alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with college expenses.

 

The Visit Reardan Merit Scholarship reflects the Reardan community’s commitment to supporting its young scholars and fostering their future success. By investing in the education of Reardan High School students, and the Reardan-Edwall School District at-large, the scholarship program helps cultivate a new generation of leaders and professionals who will contribute to both local and broader communities.

**Eligibility Criteria:**

- Applicant must be a graduating senior of Reardan High School.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).
- Demonstrate active involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and/or leadership roles.
- Provide evidence of acceptance to an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, trade school, etc.).
- Submit a well-crafted essay on a specified topic (details provided below).

**Scholarship Details**

 

Amount: $500
Number of Awards: One (1) Annually
Application Deadline: April 30, 2025

Selection Process: Representatives of Visit Reardan will review all applications and select the most deserving candidate based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, community service, leadership qualities, and the content of the essay.

**How to Apply**

Interested applicants must submit the following documents to Visit Reardan by the specified deadline:
1. Completed scholarship application form (available from the school guidance office or downloadable from the school website).
2. Official transcript demonstrating GPA.
3. Proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution.
4. A well-written essay (500-1,000 words) on the following topic: (See Below).
5. Any additional supporting documents (optional, but encouraged).
